Before your appointment, it’s important to understand what you need to bring and how to prepare. This guide will help ensure your documents are notarised smoothly and without delays.

Prepare for the Appointment


- If you require a Notarised copy of an original hard-copy document, please bring the original hard-copy document with you.

- If you require a Notarised copy of an original digital document, you will need to present the email from the issuer or login to the issuer's portal or website for the Notary Public to verify the digital document

- If you require a Notarised copy of a University Degree, you must have access to the Degree in My eQuals for verification purposes or the Degree must be able to be verified via the issuiing institutions website.

- If your signature needs to be witnessed or verified, you must sign the document in the physical presence of the Notary Public. The name of the person executing the document must also be spelt exactly the same as on their ID. If the document to be Notarised is in a language other than English, the name of the person executing the document must be in English.

- If the document is being signed on behalf of a Company, the person signing must be a Director of the Company.

What to Bring to the Appointment

- If you require a Notarised copy of a University Degree, you must have access to the Degree in My eQuals for verification purposes or the Degree must be able to be verified via the issuing institutions website.

- Bring a valid form of identification. Photo identification documents that are accepted as a passport, driver's licence or proof of age card. If you are signing a Power of Attorney, you will need to bring both your passport and drivers licence.
